Dinner Rehab #5: Friday night takeout dice
Let fate decide your din-din.
I bet even prissy foodies order greasy takeout.
Joe and I are usually too lazy to cook on Fridays. We’re also too lazy to get dolled up and go out to dinner.
We’re SO LAZY we can’t even be bothered to CHOOSE what we want for dinner, so THIS is how we come to a decision. Big ups to Ro for giving us this ingenious little die.
Nine times out of 10 it lands on Mexican. Tonight it landed on Pizza. Perfect, beautiful Valentino’s cheese pizza. God bless Dinner Rehab #5.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..I knew you would like this. Remember how I had bought it for you for Christmas, though it was purchased in August and I kept meaning to take it out of my purse…and 4 Vodka Tonics in at your rehearsal dinner I found it while sitting next to you and tossed it over? I guess that’s the trouble with starting shopping that early.
August 7th, 2010 at 8:54 amPS-you should write a Lance about that..I already have 2 gifts for my niece in the attic
There are several things I want to say about this:
1. Best idea ever.
August 8th, 2010 at 4:42 pm2. I want one.
3. No, I’m not dead (ok, not about this, but the egocentric in me is strong tonight)
4. The wedding is in 13 days. We’ll be back from our honeymoon on Sep 2nd. I’ll be back commenting, reading and possibly writing by then. (See the thing about my ego?)
i like this dicey-thing. but heids, did you know this is the description for the dice on the website:
“This fun gift is great for any middle aged person.”
August 11th, 2010 at 9:48 amBAHAHAHA RICCI! OHMYGOD. Help! I’m old and boring. Does it sound better if I tell you that tonight Joe and I are cooking a romantic meal in? No dice.
We were going to go see Norah Jones in Tampa, but for $45 a piece I decided we’d cook something lovely instead while listening to a Norah Jones album and drinking wine.
Man, that sounds hopelessly middle aged too.
August 11th, 2010 at 10:57 amBWAHAHAHAHAHA! Takeout dice. Heh.
August 13th, 2010 at 11:41 amLove those! Will have to get a set since I don’t like to cook on Friday nights either. Problem is – I’m trying to get rid of my baby weight to we don’t eat out a lot these days. Maybe I’ll wait until I’m back in shape and then get them!
